The Secret to Making Summer Reading Fun

Newsroom@DominionPost.com

The Morgantown Public Library invited families to mark the end of its summer season with a free concert Saturday. Tony Music performed at  Hazel Ruby McQuain Park’s Ruby Amphitheater.

The Martinsburg native, who was a teacher for more than a decade, turned his passion for music into a profession in 2014 and has played for hundreds of schools, libraries and family events.  Audiences are encouraged to play, sing and dance along with his songs.

During the show,  staff were on hand to  sign up anyone interested in the library’s “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” program (https://www.mympls.org/1000-books-before-kindergarten/) — which is one of its many programs that continue past the summer months.
