  •  Join the Facebook Group — If you are a local restaurant, bar or store owner, make sure you join the Visit Mountaineer Country Hospitality group on Facebook. Just search “Visit Mountaineer Country Hospitality” and request to join. In this group, we will post updates when large groups are coming into town so that we can make proper accommodations and show them what Mountaineer hospitality is all about.
  • Join the Goodwill City Ambassadors — In the last six months, Visit Mountaineer Country CVB booked almost 50 group reservations that amounts to more than half a million dollars in hotel sales. Through the Goodwill City Ambassadors program, locals can greet out-of-town guests and make sure they have pleasant experiences here. In the past, Goodwill City Ambassadors have interacted with visiting teams at WVU home football games. To continue prioritizing safety, that face-to-face aspect of the program has been paused. However, ambassadors can still volunteer to drive golf cart shuttles each home game. Goodwill City Ambassadors is also seeking volunteers interested in helping with the Hops on the Mon event on October 16.

Anyone interested in volunteering can send an email to goodwillcity@gmail.com.
