Bluegrass festival set for July 2-3 at Dream Mountain Ranch

ALBRIGHT — Dream Mountain Ranch will present the Dream Mountain Bluegrass Festival July 2-3. Headlining the event will be Cabinet, Rumpke Mountain Boys and Larry Keel.

Cabinet formed in 2006, bringing together players from various musical and personal backgrounds. Whether its rustic “American Beauty“-era Grateful Dead or old-timey bluegrass, Cabinet has digested it all. But that is not to say that Cabinet recreates older styles. The group’s music might have its roots in the past, but it is current and vibrant.

Larry Keel is an award-winning flat-picking guitarist and singer/songwriter hailing from Appalachia. From an early age he began to forge a distinctive sound, taking traditional music and infusing it with modern light. He has appeared on more than 20 albums and has written songs that have been recorded and performed by artists including Grammy-award winners Del McCoury and The Infamous Stringdusters.

The Rumpke Mountain Boys combine vocals, string instruments (acoustic guitar, mandolin, upright bass and banjo) and special effects.

The band’s performance is musical stream of consciousness with no setlist, minimal structure, and improvisational flow.

The event hosts a lineup to also includes The Kyle Tuttle Band, The Jakobs Ferry Stragglers, The Hillbilly Gypsies, Johnny Staats and the Delivery Boys, and Unspoken Tradition.

Tickets start at $35 (early bird). General admission is $50. VIP and premium camping options are available. Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite and visit the Dream Mountain Bluegrass Festival on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/DreamMtn BluegrassFest/.
