Betty Tennant

Betty Louise Tennant, 91, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in Stonerise, Morgantown.

She was born July 3, 1929, in Crellin, Md., a daughter of the late Grant Phillip Moats and Theadosia Shipp Moats.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Daybrook United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Rodney Moats, of Morgantown, and Moses Tennant, of Daybrook; two daughters, Rosemary Marie Saunders, of Fairview, and Betty Sue Santee, of Daybrook; one brother, Kenny Moats, of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Tennant; one son, Marvin Junior Tennant; one daughter, Ida Kerns; and several brothers and sisters.

At the request of the deceased, all services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Rose Saunders will officiate the service with burial in the Tennant Cemetery at
Daybrook.

The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
