Fox’s Pizza Den is now reopened under new ownership. April Black, who also owns Eloquence Antiques at Mountaineer Mall, recently purchased the Star City eatery at 3109 University Ave.
Last week in anticipation of opening, Black said workers delivered 100 free pizzas to nonprofits and businesses around Morgantown, as a way to give recognition to first responders, medical facilities, Morgantown police, fire stations, Bartlett House, Ronald McDonald House, Friendship Manor, United Way and others. They also delivered to area schools and hospitals to honor teachers and medical staff.
As part of its grand opening this weekend, the restaurant, which is part of a pizzeria chain based in Murrysville, Pa., will give away prizes, including gift cards from businesses such as The WOW! Factory, Eloquence Antiques and an axe-throwing establishment.
Fox’s also marks Pi Day today by selling medium cheese pizza for $3.14.
