MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The University High boys’ basketball team faced a 20-point deficit, 23-3, after the first quarter in its 70-44 loss to Wheeling Park on Thursday, March 11.
The young University team struggled against Wheeling Park’s defensive pressure.
Ella Simpson led UHS (3-2) in scoring with 16 points and Eden Gibson added 10.
The Hawks will play again at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 12, against Preston.
