Police arrest man for stabbing near Health Right

MORGANTOWN — A 26-year-old man is in jail after police arrested him for stabbing someone in a fight.

Joshua Ryan Watson, 26, of Wadestown, is charged with malicious wounding by the Morgantown Police Department.

Officers were sent to the reported stabbing in the area of Wall Street near Milan Puskar Health Right at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday.

The initial investigation found two men were involved in a fight, which resulted with one of them getting stabbed, according to the MPD. Officers found both men and confirmed one had stab wounds.

The victim was taken to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with what police believe are non-life threatening injuries. The MPD did not identify the victim Wednesday.

Stabbing victim wheeled into ambulance
The victim of a stabbing is loaded into the back of a Monongalia EMS ambulance Wednesday afternoon outside Milan Puskar Health Right. According to emergency scanner traffic, the victim had stab wounds to the back and rib area. The victim was taken to the hospital following the incident that occurred about 1 p.m.
