Robert Fochalis

Robert Allen “Greek” Fochalis, 80, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021. Robert was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Morgantown, a son of the late Philip Fochalis and Phyllis Stutler Fochalis, and brother of Freda McDilda (Bill).

Robert was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the United States Navy and was an electrical engineer with the IBEW. Robert served as State Commander of the American Legion in 2010-2011 and was an active member of Post 91 Romney, serving in local, state and national levels. He spent his retirement still serving his country by leading and teaching youth at Mountaineer Boys State and supporting veterans past and current. He truly loved God and country.

Robert was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Special thanks to his loved ones and friends who loved him so much, especially Courtney and Bonnie.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. Thursday until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastors Gale Cobb and Phillip Yost officiating. Military honors will be conferred by Westover VFW No. 9916 and United States Navy Funeral Honors. Following the services, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services with inurnment to be held at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
