Mountaineer Country offers plenty of winter activities

We are excited to announce that the VMCCVB lodging committee will hold its first meeting Coffee and Conversations with VMCCVB at 10 a.m. Feb. 10. The meeting will be an opportunity for our lodging partners to make connections and learn about some free resources to help them with the current challenges facing the hospitality industry. Whether you’re fully embracing the winter weather or looking to warm things up, Mountaineer Country is buzzing with activities to keep you entertained all season.

  • Alpine Lake Resort — Enjoy a long, cozy weekend nestled away on winter scenery.
  • Chestnut Ridge Campground — Have yourself a sleigh day for just $5 an hour!
  • Morgantown Polar Plunge — Mark your Calendars, Mountaineers! The 15th Annual Morgantown Polar will be Feb. 20. Registration is from Feb. 1-28, but participants can dive anywhere during the month of February to support the Special Olympics of West Virginia.
