Mon Sheriff investigates auto-pedestrian death

MORGANTOWN — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that killed a 37-year-old woman this week.

Jennifer Allison, of Morgantown, died at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital because of injuries sustained in the crash, the sheriff’s office announced.

Deputies were dispatched to the crash, which happened about 6:15 p.m. Sunday in front of Whitetail Crossing, a bar on Grafton Road.

The driver was uninjured in the crash. Chief Deputy of Law Enforcement Mark Ralston said the driver did stop following the crash.

Additional details were not available Thursday because of the on-going investigation.

Mon EMS and the Clinton District Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the call.
