KINGWOOD — Jessica Miller Lipscomb is being honored as West Virginia’s 2020 Realtor of the Year by the West Virginia Association of Realtors.

On Nov. 18, Kingwood-based real estate broker Jessica Miller Lipscomb received the honor via a Zoom awards ceremony held with Realtors from around the state.

Lipscomb has been working in the real estate industry for 11 years and is a past president of the Morgantown Board of Realtors. She has served on two national committees for the National Association of Realtors and has served as a state director and two terms as secretary of the West Virginia Association of Realtors.

“My career in real estate is not a job, but a passion. This award is a bright spot in a challenging year — my colleagues and I from around the state have worked hard to meet the changing needs of home buyers and sellers in 2020, so residents can continue obtaining the American dream of homeownership,” Lipscomb said.

“West Virginia  has the highest rate of homeownership in the country. We all should be really proud of that.  I sure am. I love selling homes and property in Preston County. There’s nowhere else I’d want to call home, and getting to share my community pride with buyers is really fulfilling.”

The Morgantown Board of Realtors honored Lipscomb with the Rising Star award in 2013, the “President’s Award” in 2015, and the Realtor of the Year award in 2016.

She was named a West Virginia Wonder Woman  in 2016, a “40 Under 40”  in 2017, both by media entities. She received the Rising Star award from the West Virginia Association of Realtors in 2019.

This year, Lipscomb’s brokerage Houses & More was named Best Real Estate Company and Lipscomb was named Best Real Estate Agent by a newspaper honoring Preston people and businesses. She is past president of the Preston County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of the  United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

Lipscomb lives in Kingwood with her husband, Mike, daughter, Dylan Alexandra, and dog, Colt.
