Workers continue repairs to the Interstate 79 Halleck Road overpass.

More than two years ago, metal I-beam braces were installed in spots to add support.

Though from underneath, crumbling seams and supports were visible in November  2019, prompting residents to ask a West Virginia Division of Highways' officials when further repairs would happen during a Monongalia County Commission meeting.

In March, DOH awarded a contract to  Kelly Paving, which had a low bid of $7,813,012.

The Dominion Post reached out to the DOH for  information about the project, including the scope and timeline of work under way, but additional information was not available in time for this report.
