Old Stone House hosts jingle bell sale

The annual Jingle Bell Sale  at the Old Stone House Gift Shop will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

A jingle bell will be chosen for a discount between 10% and 30% off the total purchase. 

Additionally, 10% of sales from Friday through Dec. 10, will be shared with Old Stone House’s charity partner, CASA For Kids. 

Shop hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday  and Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. Safety protocols are being followed, masks must be worn and a maximum of four shoppers are allowed in the shop at one time. Payment must be by credit card only.

Located at 313 Chestnut St., in downtown Morgantown, the historic shop offers unique gifts, Blenko glass, West Virginia food items, state and locally handcrafted items. It  is owned and staffed by Service League of Morgantown. Proceeds from sales benefit nonprofits and citizens in Monongalia County. In its 85 years of existence, the League has contributed more than $401,100 back to the Morgantown community. This includes over $26,000 to the Morgantown Public Library, approximately $82,537 towards books for Mon County School libraries and over $292,600 to other charitable organizations throughout Monongalia County. 

The Old Stone House was built around 1795 and is listed on the National Historic Registry.
