Give to Win event features 3 sections

Includes auction, raffle and 50-50

Want to bid on one of WVU President Gordon Gee’s signed bowties? Or perhaps a getaway to Blackwater Falls is more your speed? How about a Zoom with Tony Caridi or a trip to Elk River with fly-fishing?

These are just a few of the options at the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties’ Give to Win Auction/Raffle/50-50, which is now underway at unitedwaympc.org/givetowin.

Give to Win is composed of three parts this year, a standard 50-50, an auction and a raffle. The auction features nine prizes and works as a silent auction with eBay-style bidding. The raffle features a chance to win one of nine prizes, including Ray-Ban sunglasses, Apple AirPods with a wireless charging case, a one-month membership to Gritstone Climbing & Fitness with an intro climbing class, a host of coffeehouse gift cards, a $500 Visa gift card and more.

Bidding is open now and will end at noon Dec. 10, which is also the drawing date. The drawing will be randomly selected through third-party provider Rallyup.com. Winners will be notified by email following the conclusion of the raffle, auction and 50-50. All of the prizes are donated or sponsored, and no campaign dollars are used to cover the cost of this event.

And it’s all for a good cause as proceeds benefit the United Way 2021 Campaign. The United Way of Mon and Preston Counties’ annual campaign funds 43 programs at 24 agencies in the two counties, as well as internal programming such as the Helpful Harvest Food Program, WV211, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the Holiday Toy and Food Distribution and the Family Resource Network. Learn more about these efforts at unitedwaympc.org.

We would like to thank our area businesses and corporations that donated some wonderful prizes to Give to Win! We can’t do this work without your help, and your generosity and support of our annual campaign are greatly appreciated.
