Newsroom@DominionPost.com

The 23rd Annual Full-Service Food Drive returns Wednesday, but due to COVID-19, only monetary donations will be accepted this year.

From 7 a.m.-6 p.m. that day, the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties will collect money to purchase nonperishable food items, personal care items and cleaning supplies. West Virginia Radio Corp. will help with the monetary drive by promoting it on the radio. Kroger has also stepped up to offer up to $5,000 as a match.

Those who would like to donate can simply text FULLSERVICE to 41444, and they will be prompted with a link to donate. You can also donate at http://tiny.cc/fullservice.

The drive is sponsored by Kroger, The Dominion Post, WVAQ, WAJR and WKKW. Funds collected during the drive will be used to purchase food for food pantries in Monongalia County through the Food and Hunger Committee of the United Way Family Resource Network.
