State Police look for UTV that struck a cruiser Sunday in Preston County

KINGWOOD — State Police are searching for a UTV that hit a cruiser in Preston County Sunday.


According to a news release, at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Trooper C.E. Smith was patrolling W.Va. 26 north in the Brandonville area of Preston County when a red and black UTV fled from a traffic stop for reckless driving.


The UTV struck the state police cruiser and fled northbound, on W.Va. 26 north toward Brandonville.


The UTV was occupied by two white males, possibly in their 20s or early 30s. The UTV sustained damage to the driver’s side.
