Marilyn Cale

Marilyn (Tennant) Cale, 70, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020.

She was born Nov. 18, 1949, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Harold Tennant and Helen (Rogers) Tennant.

Marilyn was a member of many Shrine related organizations. She was a member of the Morgantown Chapter 35 Order of the Eastern Star, West Virginia Court #1 Order of the Amaranth, Ladies of the 32nd Degree of Scottish Rite, a past High Priestess of ISIS Court #1 Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Morgantown Club of ISIS Court and past president of Daffy Dolls Unit of ISIS Court. Marilyn retired from Coombs Florist after 27 years of service.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 33 years, Allen Cale; children, Randall A. (Cheryl) Cale, of Brookhaven, Margaret Frankenberry, of Morgantown, and Christopher Cale, of Masontown, W.Va.; grandchildren, Ryan (Lacreasha) Stottlemire, of Fairmont, Haley Cale and Randall Cale II, both of Morgantown, Daniel (Karis) Field, of Grafton, Jared Field, of Snowshoe, and Jessica (Reid) Croft, of Pittsburgh; great-grandson, Toryn Field; sisters, Joyce (Robert) Harris, of Morgantown, and Francis Rich, of Morgantown; brother, Jerry (Kathie) Tennant, of Monroville, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald Sargent, Donald Sargent and Harold “Sonny” Tennant and a niece, Tina.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25 and from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 with Pastor Terry Hagedorn officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown.

Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask. For the safety of everyone, we politely ask that visitors do not linger at the funeral home after seeing the Cale family.
