3-vehicle crash at light

Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Don Knotts Boulevard  Monday.

The driver of a silver Lincoln MKZ — driving on a suspended license — was found to be at fault and citations will be issued  later  because the driver was among those taken to the hospital, Morgantown Communications Director Andrew Stacy said.

A gray Fiat was stopped at the light on Don Knotts Boulevard/U.S. 119 facing south with a gold Chrysler Town and Country van behind it, Stacy said.

The Lincoln approached from behind and did not stop.

The Chrysler was forced forward and to the right, off the road, stopping in a grassy area across from Dinsmore & Shole Offices, Stacy said.

The drivers of the Lincoln and Chrysler and the passengers from the Chrysler and Fiat were taken to the hospital, Stacy said.

All three  vehicles were towed away.

The crash was reported at 11:08 a.m., according to MECCA 911.

The Morgantown Police Department, Morgantown Fire Department and Mon EMS responded to the call.
