The newest Aldi store in the area is now open for business.

Shoppers were welcomed Thursday to the 12,000-square-foot grocery store, which has a five-aisle floor plan. A four-way light at the intersection of Earl L. Core Road and Hartman Run Road controls access into a 103-space parking lot. The property also includes cross access to Sabraton Plaza as well as a path from the rail-trail.

At noon Wednesday, the Aldi on Don Knotts shut its doors. The grocery chain has another store at 3521 Monongahela Boulevard in Star City.
