COVID-19 has changed most everything.

That includes having fun in the pool.

Marilla Park Pool opened earlier this week, with restrictions.

Krepps Pool opens for the season at noon Saturday.

The pools will be open noon-6 p.m. daily.

All pool furniture has been removed and swimmers can bring lawn chairs and beach style umbrellas that twist into grass. All belongings must be kept to each group’s selected area.

Aiden Taylor jumps off the diving board with a big splash at Marilla Park Pool on Thursday.

Admission to the pool will be on a first come, first serve basis. If capacity, due to social distancing requirements, becomes an issue, modifications may be made daily.

The pools’ concession stands will not open for the season. Small coolers, 30-quart or smaller, will be allowed.

There are safety guidlines, including social distance markings at entry, in the dive and slide lines, as well as on the pool deck and in grass areas; hourly cleaning of common areas and touch points; separate facility entry and exit, and an on-deck first aide area.

Swimmers should stay 6 feet away from other guests unless they live in the same household. This includes in and out of the water.

Face coverings are encouraged except when in the water.

Anyone who leaves the pool area will not be allowed to return. Take all items when you leave. Lost-and-found will not be kept.
