22-year-old on way to work dies in crash

The person killed in the fatal May 1 crash on Interstate 68 was a 22-year-old on his way to work.

That’s according to Cinda Rodgers, mother of Steven Knotts Rodgers, who posted on Facebok that he was killed in that crash when he was struck head-on.

West Virginia State Police said Friday that one person was ejected from their vehicle in a head-on collision and killed and another was taken to the hospital. Troopers did not release the names or genders of either crash victim.

The state police said Monday more information about the crash is not being released because of the on-going investigation.

Rodgers mother has started a Gofundme account to raise money for funeral expenses. As of Monday afternoon, almost $3,000 had been raised.
