Grafton hospital names Boyles chief administrative officer

Interim head brings more than 20 years of experience

Grafton City Hospital announced the naming of George C. Boyles as chief administrative officer.

Boyles has been serving as the interim president and CAO since October.

“Our board is very pleased to welcome George into this permanent role as his leadership in the interim has been exceptional,” said John Bord, chair of the Grafton City Hospital Board of Directors.

Boyles brings over 20 years of executive and administrative excellence to the position, spanning the United States from South Dakota to Ohio to West Virginia. His background as controller, vice president and chief financial officer has positioned him well for this role, as Grafton City Hospital is on a new path toward success.

Most recently, Boyles served as president of New Visions Healthcare Consulting LLC. Prior to his consultancy role, Boyles was the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio.

“George has proven a stalwart leader for Grafton City Hospital,” said David Goldberg, president and CEO of Mon Health. “Since becoming an affiliate of Mon Health System last year, Grafton City Hospital has continued to make substantial progress in its sustainability, medical offerings and community presence. With George at the helm, we are looking forward to the future.”

A native of Fairmont, Boyles obtained his Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance, as well as his Master’s in Business Administration from West Virginia University.

“I am extremely grateful for being given the opportunity to continue working with the hospital Board of Trustees, management staff, employees and medical providers at Grafton City Hospital,” said Boyles. “We have such a wonderful team here at GCH that strive every day to provide compassionate care to residents of our community.”

Grafton City Hospital is a 25-bed, critical access hospital serving Taylor County and beyond. Services include a 24/7 Emergency Department, primary care, diagnostic imaging, sleep medicine and cardiopulmonary services.
