Due to concerns about COVID-19 and the importance of the community’s health and well-being, Make-A-Wish is transforming its annual Walk For Wishes into a virtual experience now known as Web Walk 2020. The event will take place live on Facebook on the same day as originally planned, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. April 18.
Although the walk is taking on a different form, participants are urged to continue to sign up and raise funds leading up to Web Walk Day.
The virtual walk will include two hours of live streaming on Facebook Live to celebrate the local Make-A-Wish community, including videos from local sponsors, announcements of fundraising challenge winners and more. All participants are encouraged to join in the fun on Web Walk Day by posting selfies and videos to show solidarity and support on their own social channels.
From now until the day of the virtual walk, fundraising challenges will be shared with participants at greaterpawv.wish.org
/virtualwalkwv2020, providing opportunities to win exciting prizes. The top individual fundraiser will win a grand prize of two one-day park hopper tickets to the Walt Disney World Resort.
