Bernard McCourt

Bernard A. McCourt, born March 28, 1963, left this world on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
My best friend, hero, confidant and husband will forever leave his presence in my heart. We shared many adventures with our horses trail riding through many states on the East Coast. He loved the outdoors. Spring through fall you would find us on a scenic motorcycle ride, mountain or side road, jeep riding or on the boat at the lake. Although he raced in his younger years at the Blackwater 100, the later years brought the husband and wife team of M&M Racing. We both loved driving and navigating in the local and national side by side UTV events. I will forever miss my best friend.

His loyal and faithful Aussie companions, Blue and Wyatte and now Jasper and Maverick, were always by his side. They were his joy in life. His life was touched by many in the racing community, where he was known as Ben Therway. He will be deeply and sadly missed by his wife, Kim McCourt, family and friends. Until we meet again at the next checkered flag.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price St. from 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, until the time of the Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. Cremation services are under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Crematory. Wear race jerseys or casual dress.
