James Joseph “Jim” Matuga, 78, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Kingwood following a long illness.

Friends may join Jim’s family to honor his life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown from 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 until 7:30 p.m. when Catholic Funeral Rites outside of Mass will be accorded by Father Andrew Switzer. Following the funeral, full Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home. Jim’s request to have his ashes buried at sea will be honored by his family at a later date.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that friends consider contributing to WV Caring Hospice, 3437 University Ave., Suite A, Morgantown, WV 26505.
