Church shows gratitude to deputies who help them on Sundays

Mon County Sheriff Department deputies received inscribed cups from Chestnut Ridge Church in recognition of the help deputies provide directing traffic to and from the church each Sunday. Each Sunday, the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office provides deputies to assist with directing traffic entering and exiting Chestnut Ridge Church parking lots. The church sees thousands of vehicles flow through the area Sunday mornings.
To recognize their efforts, the director of the church's safety and security team, Mike Homchenko, presented the deputies with gifts Thursday at the sheriff's office.

Chestnut Ridge Church is a non-denominational religious center on Cheat Road. CRC has an average of more than 2,100 visitors per weekend.
