MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — University High released its 2020 football schedule Thursday. The season kicks off on Aug. 28 with a road game at John Marshall.
The schedule is almost an exact replica of 2019’s with two changes. First, University’s home-and-home agreement with Mountain Ridge (Md.) has come to an end, and has been replaced with a Week 11 matchup with Oak Hill.
The Red Devils, who will make the jump from Class AA to AAA next year, ended last season at 3-7, falling to Greenbrier East 42-7 — the only AAA team Oak Hill faced. The second change is that UHS will now have a bye in Week 7 instead of playing 10-straight games.
The Mohawk Bowl will take place on Oct. 30 at Morgantown High.
The Hawks ended the 2019 season at 3-7 and missed the playoffs for the second straight year.
