West Virginia baseball team’s Leadoff Dinner set for Feb. 1

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The eighth annual WVU Baseball Leadoff Dinner, presented by Segra, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Morgantown Event Center. Tickets and sponsorships are on sale now.

The event, which celebrates the unofficial start of the 2020 baseball season, will include a cocktail hour, VIP reception, dinner and many unique silent auction items available for selection. The program will be emceed by Patrick Renna, famously known as Hamilton “Ham” Porter from the movie, “The Sandlot,” and features coach Randy Mazey and an introduction of the 2020 Mountaineers.

“We’re really excited to have Patrick Renna here in Morgantown, and we’re looking forward to hearing all the stories and memories from the Great Hambino,” Randy Mazey said. “This is always a great event with great support for us and a really nice way to get our season started. This year should be no different.”
