Harold Leach

Harold Leroy Leach, age 84, of Morgantown died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Morgantown, following a long illness.

He was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Morgantown, a son of the late George Melvin and Icie Pearl (Hamrick) Leach.

He retired from the steel mills, and also worked as a glass worker at Morgantown Glassware Guild. Harold enjoyed camping at Big Bear Lake and antique cars.

Harold is survived by his son, Harold Leroy Leach, Jr., of Ohio; brothers James Leach, of Morgantown, Kenneth Leach, of Smyrna, DE, and a sister, Emma McCord, of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Leach on Oct. 18,
2012, seven brothers and
seven sisters.

Friends may join the family to honor Harold’s life and legacy at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown 11-12 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Immediately following the visitation, a graveside committal service will be held at the church cemetery officiated by Pastor Barbara Hamrick.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care and support they showed to Harold during his time there.
