Kayla Jeanette Carder

Kayla Jeanette Carder, our loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, 33, of Morgantown, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, in Morgantown, from injuries she sustained in an accident.
Born April 23, 1986, in Grafton, Kayla is a daughter of John F. Carder Jr. and Tammy Kay Moore Carder, of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her daughter, Jada Holyfield, of Morgantown; two sisters, Shebree and husband, DJ Savage, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, and Khrystal Carder and companion, Alexis Jones, of Fairmont; nieces, Kristin Savage, Cheyenne Somers and Taelyn Jones; grandmother, Patricia Moore; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kayla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph F. Moore Sr. and John F. Sr. and Matilda Carder; and an uncle, Ralph F. Moore Jr.
Kayla enjoyed spending time with her daughter. She also loved being in the outdoors such as the lake and the Boy Scout Camp in Morgantown where she grew up.
Friends may join the family to honor Kayla’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/ Morgantown, from 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, until 7 p.m., at which time a sharing of memories by her family will be held. At the request of the family, Kayla will be cremated.
Due to the tragic and unexpected nature of Kayla’s passing, in lieu of flowers, contributions are being accepted at the funeral home by her family to help offset final expenses.
