Multiple departments respond to structure fire Monday morning; no reported injuries

A home on Daybrook Road caught fire on Monday morning.
Chief Kevin Wilson, of Blacksville Volunteer Fire Department, said his department was called to the stick-built, single-story structure at 10:05 a.m. The scene was cleared about 11:30 a.m.
The home’s resident was trying to light a fire outside but didn’t have a lighter, so he lit something on fire using his stove and while taking it outside he dropped it, Wilson said.
The man was the only person home at the time and was not injured, however the house is a total loss, Wilson said.
Firefighters from Cassville VFD, Wadestown VFD, Brave VFD also responded, as did a Mon EMS crew.
