Cops catch man fleeing from bank robbery in Bruceton Mills

MORGANTOWN — At about 11 a.m. Oct. 2, a man robbed Clear Mountain Bank in Bruceton Mills. Afterward, he ran around the building and fled on a motorcycle.

He was observed by Monongalia and Preston county sheriff’s deputies at Coopers Rock. They pursued the suspect on Interstate 68, onto I-79 North into Greene County, Pa. He was arrested there and is being transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for injuries.

After he leaves the hospital, he will be brought to Preston County for arraignment on first-degree robbery charges. No one was injured inside the bank.
