Howard William Messinger

Howard William Messinger, 65, Morgantown, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 25, 2019, after a battle with cancer.
Born in Ceredo, he was the youngest son of the late William and Sarah Messinger.
Survivors include his siblings, David Messinger and wife, Judy, of Danvers, Mass., Paulette Smith and husband, Roger, of Morgantown, Marilyn Dunlap and husband, Jim, of Glen Rock, Pa., and Ronald Messinger, of Morgantown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his long-time canine companion, Spirit.
At his request, a private committal will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover. His family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Professional services are being provided to the family with the guidance of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Westover/ Morgantown.
