Charles Donald “Tom” Wilson

Charles Donald “Tom” Wilson, 93, of Smithfield, Pa., formally of Bruceton community, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019, with his family at his side at Morgantown Health and Rehab, in Morgantown.
The son of the late Charles Eugene and Hazel Hart Wilson, he was born June 12, 1926, in Georges Township, Pa.
He was a World War II Army veteran, and a life member and the last charter member of the Fairchance VFW Post 7219. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Barton Hollow Hunting Club.
Tom is survived by three sons and their spouses, Ronald L. and Connie Wilson, of Haydentown, Pa., Donald R. and Sherry Wilson, of Smithfield, and Kevin M. and Joanne Wilson, of Haydentown; a sister, Tamara Lynn Leapline; three sisters, Jane Myers, of Fairchance, Betty Lowe, of Uniontown, Pa., and Bonnie Takoch, of Clayton, N.C.; 12 grandchildren, Ronnie Paul, Christine, Amy, Donnie, Heather, Chris, Bobbi Jo, Lauren, Kevin, Shayla, Dakota and Bobby; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Elmer; and three sisters, Thelma Davis, Gail Roderick and Wanda Campbell.
Family and friends may call at Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 3-8 p.m. Monday, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, until the 11 a.m. service in the funeral chapel with Pastor Mike Lyons.
The burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills, with the Amvets General George C. Marshall Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa., providing military honors at the grave site.
