WV Women’s Extravaganza makes its way to Mylan Park

MORGANTOWN — Saturday marked the 9th Annual Women’s Extravaganza at Mylan Park. The largest women’s expo in West Virginia, dozens of vendors offered jewelry, shoes, free massages and manicures alongside lots of prizes.
Labeth Hall of PR Plus Events hosted a “Let’s Make a Deal” game show where ladies had to guess the price of potential prizes. One lucky lady walked away with a stay at Oglebay, another women won a basket of chocolates.
“We have had so much fun today. The ladies have been shopping all the vendors. They’re painting with pros, professional painters and doing arts and crafts,”
said Hall.
She said there was a silent auction for Stepping Stones, as well as a silent auction to raise money for breast cancer from the American Cancer Society.
“We’ve also had dancers out here already. We played “Let’s Make a Deal” which we just finished, which was just so much fun,” said Hall.
Also on the agenda was wine and chocolate tasting with Sarris Chocolates and Moss Farms Winery followed by a fashion show featuring pieces from Lavish Boutique and JC Penney.
“If that’s not enough we give away all of our grand prizes at the end of that,” she said.
The coveted Grand Prize giveaway included a resort getaway to Massanutten Resort. The basket included $1,000 worth of swag including gift certificates, beauty products, massages and much more. Another Grand Prize was the “Pamper Me Pretty” Getaway, inclusive of a two night stay at Stonewall Resort and Spa.
“We had a lot of ladies come out with their moms and they’re having so much fun because they get to do all these things together. We even have a photo booth where they can get their picture taken with their moms,” said Hall.
Perfectly placed before Mother’s Day women could come enjoy a full day with their moms. Hall said a lot of times women come to the extravaganza in groups of one or two, then they run into friends and the groups continue to grow.
“It does become like a sense of community, it really does, and the ladies they support two great causes, breast cancer and Stepping Stones. We have a really good time,” she said.
Tuscan Sun Spa and Salon, Stonewall Resort, The Shoe Story and The Cupcakerie are just a short list of vendors who offered their products to attendees.
Hall listed wine, things for weddings, beauty products, and lots of clothes were also up for grabs.
Hall said the next event is the Lumberjack Festival on June 29 at Triple S Harley-Davidson.
