Joseph Farber

Joseph “Joe” Michael Farber, 71, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, April 29, 2019.
Joe was born in Westmoreland, Pa., on Feb. 14, 1948, a son of the late Anthony and Helen Farber.
His spirit will be carried on by his brother, Alan Farber and spouse, Stephanie, of Morgantown; ex-wife and friend, Barbara Mayfield, of Morgantown; son, Joe Farber  Jr., of Morgantown; son, Anthony Farber and spouse, Judy, of Morgantown; son, Michael Farber and spouse, Amanda, of Morgantown; son, Matthew Farber and girlfriend, Krista, of Morgantown; and  son, Jonathan Farber and spouse, Rae, of Moundsville.  He   is also  survived by his wonderful nine grandchildren, many nieces and nephews  and the rest of his family that he adored.
Joe was a very fun and creative man. As a young man, he raced cars, played drums in a band and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a very successful business man starting many small businesses through his lifetime. Businesses such as Joker’s Wild, Joe’s Auto Repair, Good Times  and Farber’s excavating. He   was also  a supervisor for American Homes for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved to be “Pappy” to his beloved grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him.
Joe’s wishes were to help others by donating his body for research. His hope was to help others by his donation.
