MORGANTOWN — Morgantown Police are investigating after a woman’s body was found behind a downtown church Friday morning.
According to a press release issued by the department, Elizabeth Ann Leo, 34, of Morgantown, was discovered dead at about 7:30 a.m. behind Lutheran Campus Ministry chapel, near the intersection of University Avenue and Hough Street.
A church staff member found her body and notified authorities.
Morgantown Police detectives processed the scene and canvassed the area. The body has been sent to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston for an autopsy.
