Morgantown girls’ tennis team sweeps doubleheader

CHARLES TOWN — The Morgantown High girls’ tennis team defeated Musselman, 6-0, in its first match on Saturday.

In singles, Cat Wassick won (8-0), Mackenzie Sorton won (8-0) and Bella Mascari won (8-0).

In doubles, Emme McKnight/Wassick won (8-1), Sorton/Mascari won (8-0) and Kassie Regules/Amber Li won (8-2).

Morgantown 7, Martinsburg 0 (Game 2)
In singles, Morgantown won every set because of forfeit by Martinsburg.

In doubles, McKnight/Wassick won (8-0), Regules/Li won (8-0) and Sorton/Mascari won by forfeit.

The Mohigans (21-1) will play again at 4 p.m. Monday against Wheeling Park.
