Lonnie Jay Riley

Lonnie Jay Riley, 52, of Arthurdale, surrounded by his loving family, entered into eternal rest from Mapleshire Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown, on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
He was born May 11, 1966, in Morgantown, the youngest child of Alston Ralph  and Dorothy Alverta (Bishop) Riley.
Lonnie worked for many years at the Sheltered Workshop, until health issues stopped him. He was a gentle person who loved to laugh and smile and give hugs. He was a die hard Mountaineers fan, always rooting them on.
He enjoyed seeing deer, turkeys and all the birds around his home.
In addition to his mother, Dorothy, he leaves his three brothers, Brian Earl, Michael Dean and Nimrod Lee Riley; four sisters, Marilyn Joy Newcome, Irene Rebecca Durr, Donna Lou Guire (and
husband Kevin) and Mary Jane Zeigler; nieces and nephews, Brandy, Benjamin, Mikaela, Cameron, Lauren, Anna, Johnna, Malory, Luke and Aubree; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Anthony, Allyson, Paige, Josie, Carlee, Austin, Marsden, Leni Lou, Isabella and Derek.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Alston; and his great-niece, Leslie.

Friends will be received at Morgan Funeral Home, in Reedsville, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20 until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor David Kisamore officiating. Graveside services will follow at Arthurdale Cemetery.
