Brookhaven students show love with snowflakes project at Mon Health Medical Center

MORGANTOWN — Students from Brookhaven Elementary School and the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary partnered this month for a “Blizzard of Special People” project.
The project includes students from different grades preparing paper snowflakes to be on display in the Mon Health Medical Center lobby. Each student dedicated his/her snowflake “in honor of” or “in memory of” a special person in their life.
On Thursday, a student from each homeroom presented their snowflakes to the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary in a Valentine’s Day ceremony.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with Brookhaven Elementary students for this special project,” said Susan Melenric, Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary president. “The students’ snowflakes remind them, and everyone, to take time to honor special people in our lives.”
The snowflakes will be on display at the hospital until Feb. 22.
