Juvenile taken into custody following threats against school

The Morgantown Police Department took a juvenile into custody Thursday evening in response to threats made against South Middle School.
According to a department press release, officers were made aware of the threats around 11 p.m.
Officers quickly identified and made contact with the juvenile, who was taken into custody without incident and transported to a juvenile detention facility to be held pending a judicial hearing.
According to the press release, the incident is believed to be isolated and no further threat against the school exists at this time.
