Masontown woman charged with fleeing police, running over mailboxes and through yards

KINGWOOD — Police say a Masontown woman caused damage to lawns, mailboxes and a deck while fleeing from Masontown Police Wednesday afternoon.
Crystal Star Strahin, 20, is charged with  felony fleeing. She was in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail Thursday in lieu of $45,000 bond. According to the criminal complaint by Masontown Police Chief M.E. Hoefler:
He tried to stop a black Chevrolet Equinox going 44 in a 25 mph zone. Strahin was driving. She sped up to 90 mph and turned onto McKinney Cave Road, running several vehicles off the road and passing some pickups.
She lost control of the Chevy and ran over a street sign and several mailboxes, then through two yards, destroying a deck. The officer found drugs and paraphernalia in the vehicle. Strahin was taken to Preston Memorial for treatment and tested positive for cannabinoids and meth, according to the complaint.
