Police charge Sheetz employee for sexually assaulting co-worker

MORGANTOWN — A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a party in November was arrested and charged.
Paul A. Musgrove, 36, of Morgantown, is charged with second-degree sexual assault.
Four co-workers from Sheetz began drinking together at a “social get-together” at about 8 a.m. Nov. 12 on Kaustin Drive, according to a criminal complaint.
A male witness to the alleged assault said Musgrove commented that he wanted to “get intimate” with the victim. The male witness advised him not to, the complaint stated.
A female witness said the victim became sick about 3 p.m. from excessive drinking and that she took care of the victim in the bathroom. Musgrove approached the two in the bathroom and told the witness she could leave and he would take care of the victim, the female witness said. She took the offer.
Eventually, the male witness left the living room and entered the bathroom where Musgrove and the victim were last seen, the complaint stated. The male witness left the bathroom and saw his bedroom door was wide open. He saw Musgrove having sex with the victim while she laid motionless on the bed.
He went and told the female witness to check the bedroom. She said she saw the same thing and the male witness confronted Musgrove, telling him to leave the apartment, which he did, the complaint said.
Both witnesses helped the victim get dressed — the male held her up while the female put her clothes on.
The victim only remembers her legs falling after Musgrove was caught and said she did not give consent.
Musgrove was arraigned in Monongalia County Circuit Court on Thursday by Magistrate Darris Summers who set bond at $25,000.
