Police recover stolen property at residence; two charged

MORGANTOWN — Two people were charged after Morgantown Police executed a search warrant Sunday evening.
Taylor Allman, 23, of Masontown, and John Christopher, 24, of Morgantown, were both charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to a press release, at 8:23 p.m. Sunday, Morgantown Police conducted a follow-up investigation at 361 Falling Run Road as a result of controlled substance violations and stolen property investigations.
Suspected stolen property was recovered at the residence, including video games, iPads, computers, checkbooks, television and home electronics, firearms, controlled substances and drug-packaging materials, the release stated.
Police discovered that Allman has an outstanding warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Christopher was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for parole violation. Both were taken into custody without incident and are being held at North Central Regional Jail.
Officers are identifying victims and notifying them of the recovery of property reported stolen. Additional charges are pending for Allman and Christopher pending further investigation.
