Considering a run for city council? Filing begins Jan. 7

MORGANTOWN — Morgantown residents interested in running for Morgantown City Council can obtain a Candidate’s Packet beginning Jan. 2.
Candidates must be 18 years of age by the election date, must be a qualified voter of the state of West Virginia, and must live in the Morgantown city limits.
The 2019 Candidate’s Packet may be obtained from the city clerk’s office in City Hall, 389 Spruce Street, Room 10, Morgantown, WV 26505, or from the City of Morgantown website at morgantownwv.gov by link under City Clerk, Elections.
Certificates of Announcement must be filed in the city clerk’s office between Jan. 7-Feb. 11. All mailed Certificates of Announcement mailed must be post marked no later than Feb. 11, 2019.
