Second suspect in Monday burglary arrested

MORGANTOWN — The second suspect in a Monday night burglary on Wiles Street was arrested on Wednesday.
Brett Barton, 21, of Parkersburg, is charged with burglary and conspiracy.
Benjamin Culicerto, 22, of Princeton, was arrested during the burglary, according to a Morgantown Police Department press release. Culicerto is also charged with burglary and conspiracy.
Barton was found Wednesday morning near Suncrest Towne Centre.
In an interview with police, Culicerto told police the two broke into the Wiles Street home because Barton believed the residents of the house stole marijuana from him and they were going to steal it back, a criminal complaint stated.
Andrew Stacy, Morgantown’s public information officer said no marijuana was recovered and there was no evidence of marijuana usage.
The two men broke a window in the front of the house to get in. A resident who was home at the time locked himself in his room and called police, the complaint stated.
Culicerto was found in the home wearing a ski mask, according to a press release. He ignored officer commands to come out so the officers entered the house and arrested him without incident.
