Two people arrested for illegal possession of firearms

MORGANTOWN — Two people are in custody after Morgantown Police found them with firearms.

According to a release, officers of the Morgantown Police Department, responded to a report of brandishing on the 600 block of Beechurst Avenue, around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. The victim said he had been an argument with his girlfriend earlier in the evening and then gone to bed. He said he woke up later, and was confronted by his girlfriend and another man in his apartment, who pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him.

The victim called 911 and provided a description of the vehicle, which officers found and stopped. During the stop, officers recovered two semi-automatic firearms.

Both occupants of the car were found to have been previously convicted of felony crimes.

Jessica Ann McCracken, 36, of Clarksburg, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and DUI. She is being held at the North Central Regional Jail pending bond or trial.

Fred L. Hudson, 25, of Morgantown was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, brandishing and assault. He is being held at the North Central Regional Jail pending bond or trial
