Kingwood leaders place wreath at the Veterans Memorial Plaza

KINGWOOD — Mayor Jean-Manuel Guillot and Prosecuting Attorney Mel Snyder ignored the rain and cold to place a wreath at the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Kingwood on Saturday.
The wreath was placed as part of National Wreaths Across America Day, and was sponsored by the Kingwood Rotary Club. The wreath was donated by Kingwood Florist, Inc.

According to Robert Meissuer, president of the Kingwood Rotary Club, the program honors fallen U.S. veterans at 1,400 locations across the United States, at sea, and abroad.
“We are starting slow this year with the Veterans Plaza,” he said. “By next year, we hope to place wreaths in our local cemeteries.”
Following the placement of the wreath, Tom Snell led the prayer.
