U.S. Bureau of Prisons holding job fair for correctional officer positions

HAZELTON — The federal correctional complex in  Hazelton will  hold a job fair 9 a.m.-1 p.m.  Dec. 18 for those interested in working as a correctional officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).
The job fair will be at the FCC Hazelton Training Center, 1640 Skyview Drive, Bruceton Mills.
In a release Friday, the Bureau said there are  vacancies, “and this is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government.”
Applicants should  bring a resume and a valid ID. Information will be available on application procedures. Veterans are encouraged to attend and  should bring a copy of their DD-214, Member4.
Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Those hired must successfully complete the  Introduction to Correctional Techniques in Glynco, Georgia.
