Main Street set to honor outstanding supporters of 2018

Main Street Morgantown  will recognize its outstanding board member, local public official, business person and volunteer organization of the year at its 34th Annual Meeting.
Every year, West Virginia’s governor and Main Street West Virginia join the certified Main Street communities to honor outstanding supporters of the organization.
This year’s winners: Outstanding Board Member, Susan Riddle; Outstanding Public Official, Ron Dulaney; Outstanding Business Person of the Year, L.J. Giuliani; and Outstanding Volunteer Organization of the Year, WVU Center for Service and Learning.
“It is an honor to be recognized by MSM,” said Riddle, Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau CEO and president. “The GMCVB continues to support MSM’s efforts to ‘build a great place’ in Downtown Morgantown as one of our tourism destinations.”
This year’s Annual Meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday  at Arts Monongahela on High Street in Morgantown. It is open to the public.
Charlie McEwuen, MSM board president, will also recognize incoming and outgoing board members at the meeting, recap the organization’s 2018 actions and highlight new businesses in Downtown Morgantown.
“I would like to thank all of our volunteers and supporters for their dedication to ‘building a great place’ in Downtown Morgantown, for without them, MSM would not exist,” said MSM Executive Director Barb Watkins. “I’m extremely grateful for our wonderful community.”
MSM is constantly working to “build a great place” in the downtown districts today and in the future with the help of community supporters.
